    Back when Amirgy Pineda was nine, he joined his first club with Cal South’s own Fullerton Rangers. The following year, he knew he wanted to become a professional. And that’s when the fun started for Pineda.

  • U.S. SOCCER NOW ACCEPTING TEAM ENTRY FORMS FOR 2018 LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP QUALIFYING 

    U.S. Soccer is now accepting entry forms from local amateur teams looking to compete in the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s National Championship. The entry deadline for local qualifying is Aug. 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. CT.

CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT & EDUCATION 

Cal South recognizes the need for increased awareness about concussions, head injuries and brain trauma. In order for Cal South to be compliant with State of California Assembly Bill No. 2007, new procedures have been implemented that require on a yearly basis, a concussion and head injury information sheet to be signed and returned by the athlete and athlete’s parent or guardian before the athlete’s initiating practice or competition. US SOCCER & CAL SOUTH PLAYER DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES 

In order to comply with the US Soccer Federation's youth soccer requirements, Cal South is providing its membership with the Player Development Initiatives for the 2017-2018 & 2018-2019 seasons. The PDIs came into effect in the 2016-2017 season, but will be MANDATORY come the new season for all age groups.
